My Aunt is hooked on the Intensive Night Reversal and Repair Cream from Patricia Wexler M.D. It repairs signs of damage and noticeably decreases expression lines. Applied at bed time, by morning imperfections are resurfaced and skin is lifted and firmed. Dr Wexler say that night time is the best time for active treatment since the body is at rest and skin is safe from the daily stresses of life. You can normally find this at Bath & Body Works but is fairly expensive, but my Aunt says its worth every penny! I've seen them in two different sizes, a small 1.7 fl oz jar and a much larger 3.4 fl oz jar. Let us know what you think of this Wexler repair cream!

Just got done reading eonline and their recent interview with Kristin Cavallari. I'm a fan from way back, starting all the way back at Laguna Beach, and never missed an episode of The Hills. I'm not nieve enough to think that the show was 100% real but when you watch a show for that long, you develop a certain bond with the people, after all they seemed to be real people with real relationships, not just characters. To read that relationships with Justin and Brody were both a farce is really disappointing, particularly Brody one of my favorite characters of all time. To hear this out of her mouth feels like a real slap in the face, couldn't she have just kept that to herself, and not shove it the fan's face that so much of this was staged? Aside from her relationship with Brody being staged, was her whole friendship with him fake as well? How is he not invited to her wedding? I'm going to un-follow her on Twitter, I've heard enough of her damn shoes and now lies! Not to mention her choice in men, can you believe she is going to marry Jay Cutler? He's a spineless player that sold his teammates out by quitting on them in their playoff game last year because of a suspected injury!

Chatting with a friend a few days ago who is a Clinique employee and found out that Clinique Superfit Liquid Foundation was discontinued in early 2011. Supply has been limited and very hard to find for those that love this makeup. Once you can't find it any more, and there are still some around, Clinique is suggesting Superfit users switch to Even Better Foundation. This Superfit liquid makeup is good for dry combination to oil skin and makes your skin glow! It is a long lasting foundation and won't break you out and there are so many different shades that its easy to find one to match for your tone. A great feature of this makeup is that it comes in a squeeze bottle, allowing you to put just the right amount on your finger.

A few hours removed from a fantastic shower, I want to share my first use of True Blue Spa's body scrub called i'm in the mood for scrub. This pampering shower scrub let's you buff and polish skin with gentle exfoliators, then lavishes it with a generous dose of nourishing shea butter beads.The shea butter beads leave me smelling soooo good and the Orange Fruit Extract soothes the skin. For a spa-like body buff, True Blue recommends squeezing an ample amount onto wet skin and massage with circular motions to whisk away dry skin, then rinse and pat dry. My Contribution Helping to Preserve Our Environment

We all recycle, well at least I hope we all do in some fashion! We each have our ways of contributing to a greener more sustainable world and I recently started a new trend in my household. We buy a lot of fruit and vegetables each week and so much of it goes to waste in the form of banana peels, apple cores, pineapple shells, mango skin, asparagus stems, egg shells, the list goes on. I came across a local composting bin that I can contribute all this waste to! No only is it good for the environment but it has cut our trash disposal by 25%! Less waste, less trash bags, I love it! You can create your own compost bin or find one locally.

Its that time again, we changed the clocks for Daylights Savings Time, get less sunlight, the cold air and snow are on their way. One of the ways I like to combat my cold house on these long, dark winter days is to have a Bath & Body Works candle in each room. Coach Sues East Tennessee Flea Market for Fakes

Back in June, Coach purchased a wallet from a flea market in Tennessee which they deem to be counterfeit. It is said that the booths at the Sweetwater Flea Market were to have up to 100 of these fake wallets for sale. Purchased for $16.81, I think the answer is clear as to counterfeit or not! Coach is claiming that the stitching and interior lining are vastly different from those of their authentic Coach products. Messy or uneven stitching is an easy way to tell a fake from a real Coach handbag or wallet.

Filed in August, the law suit named multiple defendants including Angela McNabb, the manager of the flea market accused of selling knock offs. She has declined comment and claims to know nothing of the suit. The suit alleges these knock offs, "are likely to create a false impression and deceive consumers, the public, and the trade into believing that there is a connection or association between the infringing products and Coach."

I understand Coach's premiss here as to not wanting fake Coach items circulating but all the money that these suits cost, is it really worth it in the long run for $16.81

PVC Fabric Care for Coach Wallets & Bags

The wife came home with a new Coach wallet to match her new Coach diaper bag I got her a couple of months ago for our new baby girl. It is different from most other Coach wallets as part of the Heritage Collection. Dirt and Sugar Don't Cause Acne!

As I suffered through minor battles with acne growing up, I was under the impression from others that acne was caused by dirt or too much sugar. I'd wash my face multiple times a day, cut back on the chocolate and still have the same issue! Correcting Comcast DNS Trouble

We used Verizon as our ISP and Directv for years but not having local Philly sports with Directv had taken its toll. We moved to Comcast for their Triple Play package to get Internet, phone and TV bundled. For the most part the overall speed has been good and the service, reliable, but a few times a day pages would take about 15 seconds to load. i normally use speedtest.net to test my ISP speeds. Looking a little closer at the issue, I found the message "resolving host" on the status bar of my browser whenever the pages were slow to load. I was using the default DNS servers provided by Comcast and had heard good things about Google Public DNS but I wanted to test before making any changes. I found a great utility for my Mac called Namebench. Namebench is an open-source benchmark utility which hunts down the fastest DNS servers available for your computer to use. I ran Namebench on three separate occasions and Comcast was consistently among the top 4 DNS responses each time but also was the only provider to consistently return errors. I changed my primary DNS to be 8.8.8.8 from Google and secondary to 156.154.70.1 from UltraDNS. Since that point I haven't had any resolving issues and our speeds have been 10 Mbps down and 3.20 Mbps up. The combination of Comcast bandwidth and the Google and UltraDNS DNS has been terrific for us! Not happy with your ISP performance, look in to using public DNS!

eBay Classifieds vs Craigslist - Head to Head Comparison

I've sold a lot of laptops, computers and household items on Craigslist in the last couple of years and not a one on eBay Classifieds or the former entity Kijiji. To be fair to eBay Classifieds my listings on Craigslist are far greater than those on eBay Classifieds. My two sons just got bunk beds so I have a few items to sell from their old rooms and think this could serve as a great comparison by putting them head to head. This morning I posted the following on eBay Classifieds and Craigslist:

Testing Welcome Video on my New Yahoo Store

I've been working on my new Yahoo store, IndulgeNspoil.com the last month or so, just customizing and adding inventory day by day. A new feature I just added, one which I want to add to my eBay store as well, is a welcome video. My goal is to have the buyer get to know my face and feel comfortable that they are dealing directly with a person, and their visit is important to me. I put together an initial video and posted to my youtube channel and then embedded it on my Yahoo store home page. As sales increase (hopefully), I hope to poll my buyers as to its effectiveness and any recommendations, and even improve the video with some new wording and background effects.

Google Maps Navigation - Works great!

Headed out to do some sourcing for my ecommerce stores yesterday after work and needed to map my route, so as always I checked out Google Maps on my Mac. After double checking the directions on my new Nexus One, I realized that "Maps" had navigation! These directions were right on point the whole 25 mile drive. The voice was clear and alerted on direction updates usually about 1000 feet before each move. It was so nice to just let my phone sit there and tell me where to go as opposed to hitting refresh every 5 minutes to make sure I am still on the right path. Only downside is all that data transfer ate up my battery, so if you plan to use this for a distance, be sure to have a full battery or car charger with you. Google Maps Navigation is in beta right now and available for download or if you have a Nexus One like me, its pre-installed. I highly recommend trying it out!

BTW, if you are a Droid lover, check out appbrain.com. Awesome site for finding and sharing apps. If you see an app you like on there, you can easily "download" right to your phone with a 2 step process You can even see what your friends have on their phone if they have an account on appbrain. I Want a Chat Feature eBay!

One of the features that I love about Bonanzle is the "Real Time Chat" feature. It's a terrific benefit to be able to answer buyer questions instantly. If I am online with my computer and have Bonanzle open I am free to chat away with buyers, as my booth states to buyers "Seller Is Online". In addition, if I link my Google Talk account with Bonanzle, I can chat with buyers on my Nexus One, or any phone with a jabber-enabled instant messenger installed! This is an awesome way to convert prospective buyers into completed transactions. I've been wondering for a while now why we can't have something like this on eBay? I've heard Griff on eBay Radio say many times that quick communication is the key to conversion. While in Las Vegas for the ECMTA Summit, I had my chance to put my two cents in. While the session for the eBay panel was rather crowded with questions, I unfortunately never got the chance to pose this to the panel but I was able to track down Sarah Brubacher in an elevator and have a 10 minute conversation with "eBay's Director of Top Seller Development". Sarah took the time to hear a brief run down on what I sell, general stats on my eBay store and listen to my plea for this chat feature to be implemented in eBay. I was pleased to hear that she was interested and would take it back to her team, but was rather amused when she said that she had never heard of Bonanzle. Sure, Bonanzle isn't a threat to eBay right now, but I think it's naive to think that an eBay exec doesn't know who their current and future competition would be. But I digress... With all the useful things that eBay announced yesterday in 2010 Summer Seller Update (insert sarcasm here), perhaps they just don't have time to develop useful feature for us sellers, I mean we can always use improvements to the feedback system right????? Was that too sarchastic? Seriously though, Sarah if you are out there listening somehow, I hope that you really took my feedback to San Jose and have some discussion with the respective teams to help create something extremely useful like a seller/buyer chat feature. Thank you Sarah for taking 10 minutes to chat with a small seller like myself, your time was greatly appreciated.

Goals & Dreams ~ ECMTA Summit 2010 Vegas

The Ecommerce Merchants Trade Association Summit concluded Thursday April 15th and it was a PHOENOMINAL event. This post will be my first in a series recapturing the event. The first session on the 2nd day was led by Jonathan Garris, Executive Director of PeSa, on "The State of Ecommerce". Jonathan instructed to differentiate between goals and dreams and I've been thinking about that ever since. It's a profound statement and has forced me to equate that to my own business. So many people in business want to "get rich" but underestimate the sweat equity that goes in to be successful long term. Later that night, I was walking the Vegas strip to meet some friends at a Newyork Newyork restaurant for a networking dinner and I walked by many panhandlers. Being from Philly I see this daily, so it's nothing new to me, yet I was intrigued because I was still thinking of the great talk from earlier in the day. 99% of them on the strip were distraught and respresentative of broken dreams, but as I walked passed the last in a long line, he was joyful to be strumming away on his guitar and playing a melodious tune. This brought be back to Jonathan's conversation; I set high goals for my business for the next 30 days and 1 year from now, differentiating once again that goals are not dreams. I love my full time job as an Informational Technology admin, but I woke up yesterday morning in preparation for my first full day back to work and realized that my dream, even though I love my job, is to grow my business in the state that it would be a full time endeavor for me. Setting my sites on my short term goals and differentiating those between "dreams" will allow me go grow and prosper, and not find myself lost and searching for what happen to a broken dream without goals.

My Sales Comparison Between Bonanzle and eCRATER

I've been thoroughly frustrated with Bonanzle over the last few months and decided to compare my sales between eCRATER and Bonanzle. I left out my third sales venue, eBay, purposely because there is no comparison as my eBay sales are FAR greater than that of the two I am comparing today, and frankly without eBay I would not exist.

Sales generated by my Bonanzle booth since March 1st have totaled a whopping 4 transactions. That's 4 sales in 6 weeks! Total sales transactions for my eCRATER store were 15 over the same 6 week time frame. That's not paying the bills for me either but nearly a 400% difference. WTH is going on?! I think I have a very nice Bonanzle booth, good pictures, clear descriptions and a custom template for my listings. eCRATER is, based on what they allow, a very basic setup and in terms of visuals, far inferior to Bonanzle.

Google Shopping results are showing that my listings for both eCRATER and Bonanzle are getting first page results but every search, eCRATER is getting ranked slightly higher. My prices are slightly lower on eCRATER, but their non-fee structure allows me to do that. Is it a determing factor in the disparity I am looking at right now, I don't think so, but then again I can't put my finger on it at all!

I am not sure what else I can do to boost my sales on Bonanzle, but suggestions are clearly welcome! I even syndicated my items last month.

Trial with Syndication on Bonanzle

The last episode of The Bonanzle Boardroom had some great info on Bonanzle syndication. Basically you sign up for syndication and state what you are willing to pay for items referred by affiliates that convert into sales. Tonight I signed up and am offering commission on ALL of my booth items. Some of the higher dollar Coach Bags are offering $10 to affiliates. I am really hope this helps to boost traffic and sales. Bonanzle is a great community but has not had an acceptable sales volume the last few months for me. I am slowly losing confidence in Bonanzle.

I Got to Speak with eBay Andy about My eBay Store on RRB Radio

I'm on the radio for the 2nd time in two weeks! Sounds odd listening to the playback and hearing my voice, but what a great opportunity! The host of RRB Radio, Melinda Jackon gave myself and two other sellers a chance to evaluate our current eBay store status and if it was worth while to upgrade our store status. Andy had some great advice that I am actively working to integrate into my listings such as cross propmotion to increase overall sales and multiple sales to a single buyer. I left the conversation with the intention of upgrading to a premium store and will be doing so in the next week. I will be working cloesly with Melinda during this process as we will track my successes and failures and relay this to the RRB radio community. Going to Vegas!

The winner of the basicstobusiness.com contest was supposed to be notified on Sunday Night. Sunday night came and went and I was so bummed to have not received that call. Over night I was racking my brains of how I could still make it to the ECMTA Summit. We already were booking a family vacation that month and the extra expense would be very tough to incur. Monday morning
I saw a long distancee call come in on my Blackberry. Low and behold it was Dave White when I answered! I was elated was he informed me that I was the winner and was going to Vegas! I was screaming, think he may have lost some hearing in one ear! These three days will be the most inportant in the early stages of our young business. So excited to soak in all the valuable info, not to mention the sit down I get to have with John Lawson that will be dedicated to improving my brand and business.

I walked out of my house this morning to a frigid breeze and stumbled on a sale circular in plastic bag and walk it right over to my recycle pile. I get one of these every other day at the house along with multiple contractor flyers or pizza joint menus. Wow that so annoying. I wish had I the time to crank call each one of these places to pass on the frustration they leave at my door step each day. Just as annoying as the unwanted emails we get, these unsolicited papers and flyers must stop! How I'm not sure, but it sure fires me up LOL. Got a cure???????

Paypal's Inability to Print USPS Flat Rate Boxes

We can print small and large flat rate boxes with Click-N-Ship on the USPS website. As of October we could print these with the eBay shipping flow also. So tell me this then Paypal, why can we not print these on your website? I've heard a lot of excuses for the last year and now promises of a Q1 release, but frankly I am not holding my breath. BlahBlahBlah. Stop talking and make it happen. It is incredibly conterproductive for us sellers to have to take the info from our sales on Paypal and print a label from the USPS site. Light a fire under you programmers and get with the program Paypal! I am sick of it!

Misleading advertsiements in stores

I was walking through a couple of malls this weekend trying to catch some ater Christmas sales and became annoyed over some sale advertisements. I'll describe each below...

1. Huge sign in the fron of a Perry Ellis Outlet Store that stated "EVERYTHING IN STORE UNDER $20" in large bold letters so you can see it from afar. Now I don't shop at Perry Ellis, but was intrigued as I walked by and then saw on the sign in real fine print "excludes perfumes, suits and watches".

2. Another huge sign, this time in front of an Art store... "$10 ANY PAINTING"... I was like wow could be true I guess, starving artists etc, going out of business, but a closer look revealed the fine print "unless marked otherwise" and as I looked at all the paintings they all had a higher price tag on them LOL.

Sometime retailers can be so misleading and laughable in these cases.. If my favorite painting was $15 I wouldn't have bought it just for spite!

Can't become a new seller on Amazon

I decided to add Amazon to my brand and upon a further look I find that Amzon isn't accepting new sellers to the categories in which I want to sell! Disheartened to find the following two notices about the Beauty and Clothing & Accessories category:

Beauty:
* The Beauty category is currently modifying their procedures and while that work is underway will not be accepting new sellers in the category. We do not have a completion date for this work but expect it will be ongoing through the spring of 2010. Sellers wishing to sell in the Beauty category are advised to list their eligible products in the Health and Personal Care category through the Selling on Amazon program.

Clothing & Accessories:
** Effective June 5, 2009, we are not accepting new applications from sellers to list products within the Clothing & Accessories category. We are currently working on enhancements to the Clothing & Accessories customer experience and expect this work will be ongoing through the fall of 2010.

If anyone has some insight on the completion of these projects, please let me know.

Diverting sale from eBay to Paypal

I got a message this morning from a buyer in France that was interested in buying some Bath & Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom perfumes, but wanted to move the transaction to paypal due to eBay's "restrictions due to court decisions in France". Gladly we completed the transaction in less than 10 minutes and her perfumes are on the way already. This reminded me of a discussion on eBay Radio's discussion board about moving transactions off of eBay to Paypal. I am a strong advocate of doing this but I do it on certain occasions, nebver outright offering it. Strictly when a buyer aks me for a lower price. I set my prices at such marginal levels that with the eBay fees it makes it difficult to discount anything. If a buyer asks me to discount, I simply mention that if they are interested I can send a Paypal money request, but can not do it on eBay due to the high transaction fees. So far all buyers (maybe 10 in 2009), were very happy to do so. I paid my $0.35 listing fee and consider it an advertising fee in this case :-)

eBay Search Outage Over the Weekend - My Response

I had no sales over night Friday into early Saturday AM, which was very unusual so I tend to agree that this started much earlier. Small world ~ Buyer Less Than a Mile From Me

I send items all over the world, from Turkey to Sweden, from United Kingdom to Dubaiand today I got the closest sale ever. A customer less than a mile away from my home purchased this Coach bag. I only had this Coach 13066 Signature Flap bag in stock for about 6 weeks and this was actually the second of the style I sold in those 6 weeks (pictured below). No more left in that style, but I just got a new shipment in last week of some bags from the Fall 09 line. Anyway just wanted to point out that sales can happen 500 miles or less than a mile away...

How can I clean my Coach shoes?
Coach Signature Fabric Cleaner can be used to safely spot clean footwear made of Signature Jacquard Fabric.Brush.

The following leathers can be wiped clean with a dry cloth. To maintain suppleness and a clear complexion of the leather, use a wax based polish, mink oil or bees wax. If applying shoe cream, apply to leather using circular strokes:
